April 22, 2015 KOA Placerville, CA

Barit - my grandson AKA my teacher - said this is a Pumpkin Seed fish.
Poor thing is trying to fly away!

I failed to throw him far enough - missed the water.  I tried to flip him in with my pole but lost my grip on it!  Luckily there was a long handled net there.  Got the poor fish back home and was able to retrieve my pole without having to get over the fence.
It was a very nice little island to fish from.  Oh, I did catch a branch or two while trying to cast.  Also, there is a nasty reed with a beautiful, fat, orange, plastic worm attached to it!
Rusty went with me any was such a good dog doing his snooping around thing.  I only had to call him back from going over the bridge a couple of times.

April 14, 2015 Reality Check - Fishing Costs $$$

Here we are - a beautiful lake ( www.pleasantharbor.com ) expecting to fish every day.  Go to the web site to buy our licenses and bam....gotta pay $55.00 for the year or $20.00 per day - yikes!  Well, we only have 1/2 day today (got a late start) and Thursday and Friday, so the yearly fee is not worth it.

Wednesday afternoon and Saturday we are visiting Matt Perry and family.

April 2, 2015 KOA Tallahassee, FL

Greg - "People actually LIKE doing this?"

Greg - "No, not with your arm - it's just a little elbow action!"

My people are weird...
We caught varying sizes of this kind of thing today...but got in some good practice casting!
It was fun!

February 22, 2105 - My First Fish -Palatlakaha River

Not much of an opportunity for fishing - nasty winter and we had the flu for ever.

Finally had a good day and caught 2 fish!

It's a Speck!

The entrance to Lake Louisa.

Me - in action.
